Differin Adaplene Gel

Differin Adapalene Gel contains adapalene, a type of retinoid. Topical retinoids, like Differin^® Gel, play a crucial role in the treatment of acne. Retinoids have vitamin A activity which helps regulate cell turnover to make sure your skin goes through the right process, creating a healthier environment for skin. Regulating cell turnover helps to keep the pores from clogging and target acne before it even starts. Don’t think of Differin^® Gel as a spot treatment only to be used when acne rears its ugly head. In fact, if used daily, Differin^® Gel stops new acne from forming, resulting in improved skin tone and texture.

Who Can Use It

Adults and children 12 years of age and older: Use once daily. Clean the skin gently and pat dry before applying the product. Cover the entire area with a thin layer (a pea sized amount). For example, if your acne is on the face, apply the product to the entire face. Do not use more than one time a day. Use it every other night to begin with and increase usage as tolerated by your skin.

Precautions: Applying more than directed will not provide faster or better results, but may worsen skin irritation. Children under 12 years of age: ask a doctor. If pregnant or breast feeding, ask a doctor before use. Do not use Differin Gel if you are allergic to adapalene or any of the ingredients in the product.

Retinoids can cause purging. It is recommended to give the period upto 12 weeks to see results. Since this product can be drying and irritating, we recommend pairing it with soothing and gentle products. Avoid using chemical exfoliants, physical scrubs and stripping products while on Differin gel.
